“I am a big fan of cricket” being said that I always wanted to see the cricketing legend “Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar” while he plays cricket match weather it is for India or Mumbai Indians. Unfortunately, there won’t be Sachin Tendulkar playing for India in the international cricket matches here onwards. I am very proud that Sachin Tendulkar played cricket for 24 years for India.
I am very happy to become the witness of his cricket at Wankhede stadium in the IPL 6 this year. That match was between Mumbai Indians and Chennai super kings. I was so excited to see the match and the most importantly to see Sachin Tendulkar batting. Though, I already told you that I am a big fan of cricket for which all the credit goes to my dad. My dad is fan of Indian cricket team since, India won the world cup for the first time in 1983; I wasn’t even born at that time. So, I can say that somewhere in my blood cricket is still flowing somewhere.
The biggest thing which has happened to my dad was when we went to watch the cricket match for the first time and it was Sunday 5th May 2013. He used to watch all cricket matches on the TV and never has watch a match live on the stadium. It was previlaged to watch Sachin batting and hitting six and fours all over the park. As we know about IPL fever which goes on the top and the rates of the tickets too. I chose to buy tickets as somewhere I felt that we might not get a chance to see Sachin Tendulkar in the IPL again.
After Mumbai Indians won the IPL 6 Sachin Tendulkar announces that he won’t be playing for the IPL thereafter. I feel myself very lucky to become the witness of Sachin Tendulkar’s batting on his home ground. Before he takes the retirement on the IPL he already took retirement in the ODI’s where I wrote an article at that time as “ODI retires from cricket”. Now that he takes his retirement from Test career and from the entire international cricket makes all of us emotional while giving his speech.
On 16th November 2013, Sachin Tendulkar makes an emotional exit from the cricket. My salutations to Sachin Tendulkar’s for his unconditional relationship with the cricket, you will be remembered as one of the inspiration for me. In spite of his records in the most runs, centuries and matches I like the spirit towards a sport and dedication towards serving your country which is as equal as military serving for the country.
Sachin Tendulkar said that when he was ten year old, Indian team lift’s World cup and his has a dream to bring the world cup for India while he plays for India. India won the world cup in 2011 while Sachin Tendulkar has seen his dream come true. It’s a perfect example for all of us that “Nothing will resist you to make your dreams come true until and unless you believe and persist with your work”.
